We just got a very bad news, Steve Jobs has passed away. Nowadays ,i believe that everyone knows who’s Steve, what he has done and how he was so inpired to change the world. When I recieved this news , I decided to write about his successful life in my blog specifically in the successful-project-category as one of the best, successful people that we clearly need to learn from. Then, i changed my mind, I asked myself why do i need to write some details about his life while there are millions of people know the story behind this legend ,Steve Jobs. Thus, I’ll just post some of his famous inspiational quotes/videos, the story behind that “I” in Apple’s products IMac- IPad -IPhone -IPod.. and how the people (onTwitter and Tumblr) recieved the fact that he died.

 

What’s the Meaning of “i” in Apple’s Products?

Certainly we’ve been familiar with apple products, such as iPod, iPhone, and the iPad, right? But many of us are still wondering about the meaning of “i” in Apple products. What does “i” really mean?

Apple’s first product was iMac, the first i-product. Steve Jobs (Apple’s co-founder and CEO) said it was “the marriage of the excitement of the Internet with the simplicity of Macintosh,” hence the “i” in iMac to stand for Internet and the “Mac” for Macintosh.

Internet is probably the word most commonly thought to be represented by the “i”. But Internet isn’t the only i-meaning term, Jobs went on to give others. These are: individual, which refers to the personal nature of the computer, instruct, as the computer was also intended for educational purposes, inform, and inspire.

Since the 1998 iMac debut, Apple has gone on to create several other similarly-designed consumer products using the “i”, including the iPod, iPhone, and the iPad.
